Job DescriptionPART-TIME. Duties require heavy lifting. Candidate must have excellent customer care skills. $14.35/hr Please submit your application and resume via online Responsibilities:
- Complies with all SMC policies and procedures. - Rakes lawn as requested. - Trims shrubs, plants, and small trees as requested. - Tends to flowers and remove weeds. - Installs splash blocks. - Paint curbs, signposts, playground equipment, fences, and other items that relate to grounds persons duties. - Removes debris/litter on the ground and all areas including apartments and dumpster areas.
- Assists in maintaining inventory control and upkeep of all grounds equipment and supplies. - Maintains fences, gates, gutters, downspouts, retaining walls, sump pumps, playground equipment, etc. - Assists with any emergency maintenance including roof drain areas, storm damage, snow and ice removal and excavation by hand.
- Repairs potholes. - Cleans all common areas as directed. - Recharges water type fire extinguishers. - Remove and deliver appliances to shop and to apartments. - Keeps property manager well informed concerning supplies for grounds keeping. - Assists with evictions. - Reports observation of residents in violation of community rules to the property manager. - Reports any type of grounds or building problems requiring the property manager’s attention.
- Keep with dress/uniform codes and wears safety shoes (ANSI-Z41). - Perform various other duties as assigned by the Property Manager. Desired Skills- Ability to understand and follow directions.
- Ability to communicate in written form. - Ability to establish and maintain effective work relationships with team members and our customers. - Knowledge of the current occupational safety hazards and an understanding of safety precautions. - Working knowledge of the use and care of the tools and equipment necessary to perform various grounds keeping tasks including preventative maintenance as it related to a grounds persons responsibility. - Working knowledge of landscaping, lawn care, and shrubbery/plant upkeep. - Ability to assist service technician when necessary. - Ability to lift 80 lbs. to the shoulder and carry it. - Ability to perform all tasks associated with duties specified.
