VIENNA, Va. (Feb. 18 2022) — Southern Management Companies has hired Kristen Edison, CPA, as chief financial officer. In this role, she will serve as a strategic adviser, overseeing all aspects of Southern’s accounting and financial operations.
For the past 15 years, Edison served as senior vice president of accounting at JBG Smith, a publicly traded real estate investment trust located in Bethesda, Maryland. She is credited with helping to ensure the company’s long-term financial success.

Edison earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Scranton in Pennsylvania. Prior to joining JBG Smith, she was a senior auditor at CBIZ and Mayer Hoffman McCann P.C.
